Up north ya cus it gets snow on them. And then if you sweat over dressed with coats in winter
… I have always given my flap-ear chapka the « you dry my sweat away » treatment… Though most of the year I do not have to worry about snow, and a lot more about rain.
To be honest I’m not a “my clothes need to be pristine” type of person. I wear my clothes more than once as long as I didn’t sweat. Why wear leggings after every wear. And in winter I wear and undershirt so I wear it for a couple days.
My hats could be washed more…but meh
Ah NO! My underclothing needs to change every day. But on the other hand I have gone a full year without washing my bathrobe once in the past
I know of no hat of mine that has been washed
My fencing gear (very sweat inducing sport) gets washed around 4 times a year I would gage, but that is because washing it makes it decay faster, and it is not a cheap piece of clothing
Once a year, in autumn I will help my family by running through woods on a hunting day to have wild boars exit, and help carry wild boars afterwards. My winter mantle perpetually smells like pine trees and wild boar
aside from that I also have aquired the skills to shave and brush my teeth… I hope you are proud of me
